Eagles at Cowboys and What This Game Means

The Eagles at Cowboys game is a big game and there's no doubt about it. Yes, as an Eagles fan I'm looking forward to the destruction of the Cowboys. Yet, this game is bigger than what we think. Okay, we can say it's just another regular season game. But already this deep into the season all these games matter more.

What winning will mean:

Winning this game means a lot, right now we are still on top of the division. Losing a game of this magnitude means possibly losing our position for a possible bye week for the playoffs. I'm not saying it will be the end for the Eagles, but it will affect the playoff bracket and where the Eagles stand. So, in a case like this a win would truly help out big time. Especially after losing a game, I believe we should have won and not have lost as bad as we did. Beating the Cowboys would not only put the Eagles back in the winning column, but further solidify where the Eagles stand as a team in this league.

What losing will mean:

Like I said earlier, losing wouldn't be the end of the Eagles playoff run. But it will indicate a few things. Like one, are the Eagles as good as they seem to be? Are the Eagles capable of winning it all? Basically, plenty of questions will arise, and it also means a longer road to the Super Bowl. The fact the Eagles are stacked on both offense and defense, would be a bad look if they go defeated two games in a row. I'm not saying the Cowboys are a weak team. But if anything, I'm saying the Cowboys are a playoff ready team and losing to them would question the strength and capability of this team. The 49ers are a complete team, and the league knows it. The Cowboys are close to one. Yet, technically roster wise the Eagles look more of a complete team than the Cowboys. Even with injuries on the team. Also adding Shaquille Leonard doesn't help the look the Eagles will have if they lose to the Cowboys.

Final thoughts:

All in all, this is the most must win not must win game there is right now for the Eagles. The schedule for the Eagles in this stretch is the hardest, and winning these key games are important. Personally, I believe the Eagles are going to be fine and they're definitely making it to the playoffs. My issue for the Eagles is Brian Johnson and how he's going to handle the gameplan and play calling these next games. The Eagles can afford to lose, but how much really? Winning this game will give the Eagles a little more breathing room. And that is well wanted in this stretch of games.

Let's Go Birds! E-A-G-L-E-S! EAGLES!!!
