Shaq Leonard Possibly Signing With Eagles?

Before everyone thinks that Shaquille Leonard has signed with the Eagles, I want you to know as of me writing this post he hasn't. But there is definitely a chance that he signs with the Eagles. So, let's talk about it a bit.

Shaq Leonard looking for a new home:

So, as we all know the Colts had released Shaq Leonard recently. He's making his way around and there are teams very much interested in his services. Hence, the Eagles is one of those teams. Recently he had a visit with the Dallas Cowboys but left without signing a contract. A lot of rumors are saying his next visit is with the Eagles and that should be by the end of this week. The fact here is that he's made plenty of money during his time with the Colts. At this point in the season, it looks like he just wants to join a team to help them win it all.

What better team than the Eagles at this point? The Eagles are standing at a very pretty 10-1 record. They have proven time and time again they are a threat to take it all with the group they currently have now. Yet, the Eagles can use his services to strengthen a position that has played well. But injuries have been frequent, and play has been inconsistent at times this season. Him signing with the Eagles will give him the chance of joining a team that is built to win it all this season. Not only that, but also a team that can put him in a starting position almost immediately.

What can he bring to the Eagles if signed?

Let's be honest here. He is a pro-bowl caliber player and a past pro-bowler with three appearances. Having his presence and experience in the middle would just strengthen the team's defense. Which let's be honest, I think we would want that with how the offensive play calling has been this year. He is a balanced player that can help against both the passing game and rushing game. Shaquille Leonard will bring stability (if healthy) to a linebacker group that we've all worried about going into the season. Now the question is if signed. Would he be willing to resign with the Eagles long term. But let's not get ahead of ourselves here. All I know is that I hope Howie can work his magic and have him join a Super Bowl contender.

Let's Go Birds! E-A-G-L-E-S! EAGLES!!!
