Eagles Win in OT

First and foremost want to say it's been a while. I've actually been busy working. Unfortunately this is not my full time job. But I'm back and ready to share my thoughts. So here we go!

Eagles defense continues to win games:

Before I get heat about Jalen Hurts' heroics in the end of the game to win the game. Let's talk about the real reason the Eagles continued to have chances to win it. On a day that the Eagles defense didn't look great, allowing the Bills 505 yards of total offense. They did enough to give the offense plenty of chances to succeed and score. At some point it felt as though the Eagles offense would never wake up. But then again the play calling has been terrible, (more about that in another post.) the truth is there is far too much talent on the offense to have a scare the way we did.

The amount of time the defense spent on the field was ridiculous. The Bills TOP(time of possession) was 40:30. Of course the defense was going to allow so many yards. When the offense would come off the field almost immediately. Most people wants to give Hurts all the kudos. But the kudos should go to the defense, being they lived on the field and had a tall task in front of them.

Jake Elliot is just a beast!

This section is a quick one, I just want to shout out Jake Elliot. This man is on a whole other level. He has ice in his veins. It almost feels like the bigger the stage, the bigger the game, the bigger he plays. To have a kicker you can trust is big in this league and this game showed why.

Hurts saves the day on offense:

Brian Johnson is terrible, but Hurts has been his saving grace. Hurts, when the game is on line is cool, calm, and collective. The first half was atrocious and there's no doubt about that. Heck most of the game was. Yet, Hurts always finds a way to make things happen. Of course it takes a team to win. So we have to shout out everyone for pulling their weight when it mattered most. DeVonta Smith had some big grabs, as well as AJ Brown pulling in some passes to help the Eagles move forward. Of course when D'Andre Swift was finally called upon he also showed out and help tremendously get the Eagles into the end zone.

Yes, this game was a game that I would dare most Eagles fans wanted to pull their hair out. Since the offense looked far from what they have or what they should be. Yet, this team is resilient, and Jalen Hurts and Co are very competitive and want to win. So even when we think the game is over. Remember, as long as this team has Siriani, Hurts, and Co. The Eagles will always have a chance to win.

Let's Go Birds! E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!
